Account & data

Delete your ScriptureHub account

You may close your account at any time and exercise your right to erasure under Article 17 GDPR. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed after completion.

Before you continue

Copy anything you need to keep. When deletion is completed, your account and synced notes, prayers, reading progress, memory records, and other personal content will no longer be recoverable through ScriptureHub.

What the request covers

  • Your account profile, authentication record, and active sessions.
  • Synced sermon notes, detected-reference links, study notes, highlights, and saved passages.
  • Prayer entries and updates, memory records, reading-plan progress, and other account activity.
  • Other user-generated content linked to the account, subject to the lawful exceptions below.

Content stored only on a device may remain there until you uninstall the app, clear app storage, or delete that local content.

Lawful limits on erasure

The right to erasure is not absolute. We may retain the minimum information necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the security and integrity of the service, exercise or defend legal claims, or complete controlled backup retirement. Retained data is isolated from ordinary product use, access-restricted, and deleted when the applicable purpose expires.

How to request deletion

  1. Email privacy@scripturehub.cc from the address associated with your account.
  2. Use the subject “ScriptureHub account deletion request.”
  3. We may request limited, proportionate information to verify account ownership and protect against fraudulent deletion. We will never ask for your password or the content of prayers or notes.
  4. We normally respond within one month. If the request is complex or numerous, GDPR permits an extension of up to two further months; we will explain any extension within the first month.
  5. We will confirm when active-system deletion is complete and explain any narrow retention that applicable law permits or requires.
